Faith-Driven Support for Families Who Serve

Why we exist

Faith & Valor Ministries was born from a truth learned across two generations: that behind every service member stands a family making sacrifices the world rarely sees.

A Daughter's Witness

Long before Shamena founded Faith & Valor, she watched her mother live the military spouse reality—packing up entire lives every few years, following her stepfather from duty station to duty station. Each move meant starting over. New communities. New job searches that often went nowhere because "we'll just move again in two years anyway."

Her mother's career aspirations weren't abandoned in one dramatic moment. They were surrendered gradually, in a thousand small decisions to prioritize stability for her stepfather's service and her younger brothers' needs. To be the constant in a life of constant change.

Shamena saw the strength this required. She also saw the cost.

A Veteran's Understanding

When Shamena joined the Air Force, she stepped into service herself. She understood the weight of the uniform, the pride of the mission, the brotherhood and sisterhood forged in shared purpose.

Later, as a federal employee with the U.S. Secret Service, she served in administrative and logistics roles that took her around the globe. She worked shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement personnel and fellow veterans, coordinating operations, solving complex problems, ensuring mission success. She saw firsthand the excellence, dedication, and sacrifice that define the law enforcement and military communities.

But she also saw what happened when the mission ended each day. The veterans struggling to translate their service into civilian purpose. The spouses rebuilding careers for the fifth time. The children navigating yet another new school. The families isolated behind gates—geographically close to support systems, but often emotionally distant from anyone who truly understood.

A Call Beyond the Gates

As a person of faith, Shamena couldn't unsee what she'd witnessed—both in her mother's journey and through her own service. These families sacrificed not just during deployments, but in the daily architecture of their lives. They deserved more than a thank-you-for-your-service and a military discount.

They deserved an ecosystem of genuine care. A community that traveled with them, not one left behind at each reassignment. Support that recognized their whole lives—faith, family, career, calling—not just their service member status.

Most importantly, they deserved this care outside the gates—in spaces where military and law enforcement families could be known as people, not rank. Where spouses could rebuild careers without apology. Where faith could be central, not compartmentalized. Where children could find stability even when zip codes changed.

The Mission Takes Shape

Faith & Valor Ministries exists because Shamena's mother's sacrifice shouldn't have to be every military spouse's story. Because veterans shouldn't have to choose between honoring their service and building their next chapter. Because law enforcement families deserve the same support communities they provide to others.

We create portable villages for families who can't plant permanent roots. We build professional pathways for spouses whose careers have been interrupted by love and duty. We offer spiritual community for those whose faith sustains them through the unique trials of service life.

This isn't charity. It's honor. It's recognition. It's the debt of love we owe to those who've given us the privilege of witnessing their sacrifice.

Because service families deserve more than our gratitude. They deserve our proximity, our support, and our commitment to walk alongside them—wherever their next orders take them.

Our Vision

We hope to create a global community where military and law enforcement families are strengthened by faith, supported by a loving network, and empowered to build successful lives beyond their service. We envision a future where no family feels alone in their journey, and every member has the resources to grow spiritually, emotionally, and professionally.
